Fortnite is not letting off on giving out new challenges just because it’s Christmas Eve, and if anything, there are probably even more people home playing the game than there would be otherwise. As such, this week has another group of new challenges rolling out in progressive fashion like we’ve seen before.
Here’s the full list of challenges this week, with a few tougher ones in there:
- Eliminations within 5m (1)
- Eliminations while below 50 health (1)
- Eliminations at full health and shields (1)
- Destroy enemy structures with a pickaxe (10)
- Damage opponents with a pickaxe (100)
- Collect a tomato basket from a nearby farm (1)
- Ignite and dance at a Tomato Shrine near Pizza Pit or Pizza Food Truck (1)
So we have two pickaxe-based ones, and damaging opponents pretty much just means landing on top of someone and hacking away at them. Winning that battle for 100 health will make you complete this challenge right away. And destroying enemy structures? I mean, that’s just like playing the game normally.

Three of the elimination-based ones are situational and going to be hard to set up on purpose. The 5m one is pretty easy as just get a shotgun (or the pickaxe one would count for that). Eliminations below 50 health is tougher. I suppose you could hurt yourself a bit to get to that point if you didn’t want to try and get it naturally. Eliminations at full health and shields would mean you need to first get to max, then to kill an enemy without them seeing or damaging you, which should be rather hard.

Then we have finding different farm and food base things.
For collecting a Tomato Basket from a nearby farm, you may not know what farm that is, so we have a guide for that you can check out right here.
Then you might have seen the Pizza Pit or food truck, but forgotten where those are to dance by the shrine, and we have a guide for that here.
Those are probably the easiest two, but with everyone doing these challenges things might get a bit crowded at those locations, so just be aware of that.
We are halfway through the season now, if this is indeed going to be ten weeks. We have not seen months-delayed seasons lately like we used to earlier, so we may move on to Epic’s next adventure in just over a month here, and we’ll see what sort of licensing deals they made next time.
